Jonathan
Lotz
Jonathan is the co-founder of Cardinal Academics. He is a graduate
of Stanford University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree
in Sociology and a Master's degree in Organizational Behavior.
Before founding Cardinal Academics, Jonathan worked as an
academic coach and tutor for InsideTrack Learning. Prior to
that, he was a Financial Analyst in the Private Wealth Management
Group at Goldman Sachs in San Francisco. He is also certified
by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors as a
Divemaster and has spent time teaching scuba diving and English
as a Second Language in Thailand and Greece. Jonathan can

Paul Baran
Paul is the co-founder of Cardinal Academics. He is a graduate
of Stanford University, where he earned a Bachelor’s
degree in American history and a Master’s degree in
Russian history. Paul volunteer-tutored middle school and
high school students in East Palo Alto while attending college,
and worked as a camp director in the Bay Area during one summer.
After college, Paul spent two years working at the Morrison
Foerster law firm in San Francisco. While there, Paul volunteered
as a teacher’s assistant in a 6th grade elementary class
twice a week. Paul moved to Los Angeles two years ago, where
he has tutored numerous students and developed a reputation
as one of the top tutors in the area. Paul can be reached
